MIKE PATTON
Research and Development
Mike is a sport scientist with more than fifteen years of experience in elite sport. He completed a Master’s of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary with a focus on applied sport science before becoming a performance physiologist for Cycling Canada. Following the centralization of the track cycling program in 2014, Mike continued his work with Cycling Canada as a physiologist at the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario. In his 7 years with the team, he worked with groups who have won multiple World Cup, World Championship and Olympic medals.
Mike is now part of the research and development team at Garmin, helping to make better products by bringing his experience with the application of scientific theory in an elite sport context.
