Anders Piper holds a M.Sc. Psychology, and his primary interest is assessment of personality and motivation. Since 2011 he has run an international certification programme on Mental Conditioning in Sports with participants from all over the world, based on a “best-of-breed” approach, with philosophies, tools and techniques from various areas of psychology. He has been attached to two successful bike teams in Denmark, and through that work, collected profiles of top riders, of which many now are on the world tour, has won Olympic Medals or have become World Champions. His main focus area is the scientific empirically based intrinsic motives, and what that means to performance or lack of same. His core work has been around cyclists, but he has also insights to generalized patterns in other sports. He is the author of two books on mental performance and teambuilding and is known for making scientific concepts approachable and translating them into application.
