Submission Deadline : April 2, 2026
On April 4 we will start reviewing the abstracts. All material submitted before April 2 will be reviewed first. If you have a late submission (after April 2) please let us know at abstracts@science-cycling.org We will review late submissions if the first badge has been finished.
Planned topics for the call for papers
The following general topics are defined for the conference, but the Call-for-Papers includes a category for open submission in case authors feel they have an important paper which doesn’t fit in the pre-defined topics.
Innovative training methods
Data Management/Modelling/AI
Durability and physiological resilience
Aerodynamics
Mental support methods & strategy
Rider Health: Injury Prevention, monitoring & coaching
Other topics can be submitted and we will see if we can fit it in the program

Please submit the abstract in the requested format as described in the template above. If not done the correct way the system will reject the submission automatically.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE THE TEMPLATE, BUT FOR THE CONFERENCE AN ABSTRACT IS SUFFICIENT. SO NO FULL PAPER REQUIRED
For the conference we will use the submission module of the Journal of Science and Cycling. The abstracts will be reviewed in this module and after the conference the abstracts will be published via the website.

The system will indicate that you are submitting a full paper, this is only because we are using the system of the journal. Please ignore and submit an abstract. We prefer abstracts of maximum about 2 pages (800 words).
Please note that authors can still make adjustments to the submitted documents. Authors will be informed later when the document has to be final for publication.
Instructions for submitting your abstract:
a. Go to www.jsc-journal.com
b. Go to your profile (if you don’t have one you have to register first).
c. Make sure that in your profile under roles you click on author.
d. Start a new submission
e. Under Journal Section select: Science & Cycling Symposium, Quebec 2026
f. Follow the next steps in the submission process
Please note that we can only accept abstracts in English
Poster presentation or oral presentation?
In the submission system you cannot indicate if your abstract is for an oral presentation or a poster presentation. In case you want to be considered for a poster presentation please sent us an email (abstracts@science-cycling.org). If you want to be considered for an oral presentation there is no action required.
Registration: Authors with accepted abstracts have to register for the sympsoium.
