Mark Thompson is a Senior Lecturer of Psychology at London Metropolitan University, UK. He is a specialist in sport psychology, holding a PhD from the University of Hull, UK. Mark’s research focuses on athlete stress appraisals and emotions, examining their multifaceted impact upon performance and psychophysiological response. Additionally, Mark is an experienced researcher in the antecedents of doping attitudes and behaviour, having worked on research projects funded by the International Olympic Committee and World Anti-Doping Agency.
