STEPHEN CHEUNG

Professor Department of Kinesiology at Brock University

Stephen Cheung is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Brock University in Canada, with his research focusing on the effects of environmental stress on human physiology and performance. This encompasses both basic and applied research into heat, cold and cold water immersion, and altitude. In preparation for Tokyo 2020, he is working with Wrestling Canada, Athletics Canada, and various international organizations and athletes to prepare for the heat and humidity. He has been a competitive cyclist for >30 years, and has been writing popular articles on cycling science for PezCycling News since 2002. He is the author of a textbook on environmental physiology along with two books on the science of cycling, Cutting-Edge Cycling and Cycling Science.
