MARTIJN VAN HOOFF started in the hospital as a biometrician. While working there he did his master in Human Movement Sciences in Maastricht. In his research, he is looking for new diagnostic tools to improve the detection en severity of sport-related flow-limitations in the iliac artery. First results on the use of Near-infrared Spectroscopy and pedal force measurements were published in the end of 2018. Diagnostic thresholds and reproducibility are expected this year. Besides research, he works as an exercise physiologist and application manager in the cardiology, pulmonology and sports department.
