Head of Sport Science and Coach
Dajo is currently Head of Sport Science and coach at Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka. Besides previously competing as a national level road cyclist, he completed his BSc and MSc in Human Movement Sciences at the University of Maastricht. Following that, he obtained a PhD in Sport Science with his research focusing on different methods and metrics to monitor the training process in (elite) road cyclists. Over the course of his career, Dajo has conducted applied sport science projects with multiple professional cycling teams and has been active as a cycling coach for many years. Following his PhD completion and BASES accreditation, he worked as an applied sport scientist at the University of Stirling before starting as Head of Sport Science and Performance Coach at Team Dimension Data. Besides accumulating an increasing amount of published research papers, he continuous his academic collaborations by supervising PhD students and is involved with research projects at different academic institutions.
